Howie began in the TV repair business in the 1970's in Hauppauge, New York, out on Long Island. He started by fixing TV sets in the basement, and as he separated from Republic Aviation in the early 70's, he began repairing TV sets full time. In 1978 Howie and Sandra Stransky moved to Tamarac, Florida and Howie opened his 
first TV shop there. It was not long before he had grown out of his first location and he rented new space in the BIG LOTS shopping center at the corner of Commercial Blvd and University drive in the early 80's. That location has held the Business TV SICK? We Fix It Quick! since then. In 1995 Mitchell, Howie's son, took over the shop as his own, after working with his dad for ten years. Since then the organization has grown, as Mitchell made it his own. Sandra still works for the business and Pam has been there for over ten years now. Brothers Ron and Ricky help out occasionally.
